Late last week I popped back up to Bristol, my uni town for a friends 21st birthday. In the morning I made a trip to Lily and Boo's Cupcakery to pick up some cupcakes. Needless to say, when I'm living in Bristol, I am a regular at this shop. Who could resist it's slight fifties diner style front and interior, filled with stands and stands of cupcakes?
It's located just off Whiteladies Road in Bristol, opposite the Clifton Down shopping centre. The couple who run it, (Lily and her Boo) are lovely, always chatty, friendly and genuinely pleased with your custom, which I think is invaluable these days. They both commute every morning from Wales to bake their cupcakes on site, six and sometimes seven days a week, total dedication if you ask me.
They're just about to move down the road - not far! To new premises so that they can do the option of deli style lunches and afternoon tea, which sounds absolutely heavenly.
It's relatively new to Whiteladies Road, only opening late last year, but it seems to be thriving, and it is a real treat after a long day. They also make 'pupcakes', tiny little cupcakes for your dog, - which you are more than welcome to take in. So if you're nearby, or even if your not, take a little de tour and have a cup of tea and a cupcake.
